A Letter from Co-presidents - Phyllis and Marsha
Rosh Hashanah 2009-2010 5770
A Very Happy New Year!! May you be blessed with Good Health and Happiness in the coming year.
Our Jewish community in Four Seasons Country has always been known as a vibrant, amazingly charitable and caring extended family. We have always been there for each other, we learn together, pray together, celebrate holidays and family simchas together, etc. Even though we are small in number, we manage to do incredible things, sometimes beyond our own expectations. Whether you are in your twenties or in your nineties you are a vital part of our congregation who has made a difference and will continue to make a difference. In every family, there are folks that make more of an effort than others to help the family stay strong and vibrant. This year, in our Temple extended family we need you to volunteer to do things you may not have tried doing before. Also, we need your ideas for new activities during 5770. Whatever your thoughts may be, please send them to us or call us so we can put your thoughts into motion.
There is a sign-up sheet in the Social Hall for new Temple Committees that we are reviving this year. There is also one sign-up sheet for Oneg Volunteers, Hosting Laila Volunteers and Volunteers for Leading Services.
Our children are going to have an amazing year with Rabbi Laila who has planned a fabulous curriculum which includes online Jewish research and trips to other cities to meet other Jewish young people and visit other Jewish communities. Sonya and Lisa have worked tirelessly to hook up four computers (they have donated) in the large classroom. We now have wireless communication in the Temple so our children can work on many projects online. Parents will receive emails regarding Religious School and Youth Group scheduling throughout the year.
Please use the schedule below to mark your own calendars with holidays and events for September and October and some highlights for November and December.
L’shana Tova Tikateivu (May you be written for a good year!)
